• ZZ Top

  First things first, I did not take this picture; however this is exactly what ZZ Top looked like when my sweety and I went to see them and Los Lonely Boys in concert Sunday night.  I really wanted to see Los Lonely Boys, because wow, they are talented and I love their music.  I wanted to see ZZ because they were a part of my youth and really liked them then.  I also wanted to take John to his first concert.  He has seen a few people in bars and stuff, but never in a coliseum.  I was worried he would not enjoy it.  I was wrong, he had a great time.  The only downer was the temperature of Kay Yeager.  You forget that thing is on an ice rink, and the a/c was set to keep it from thawing I guess.  4 hours later with slight hypothermia we headed home. Sean and A.J. went also and they had a great time.  I thought it was cool that I can do this with my kids and we all like the same music.  I have to admit something too, when I first saw ZZ Top enter the stage I had flash backs of Rolling Stones at the super bowl, I thought, jeez these guys are somebody's Paw Paw.  They sounded great and put on a good show without embarrassing themselves, like the Stones did.  (Just my opinion)  Los Lonely Boys were also great, but only sang like 6 songs...  I would have liked to have heard more.  They did a song called "Texican Style" http://www.loslonelyboys.org/storemp3/sacred/7%20-%20texican%20style%20(0m%2046s).mp3  if this works you can click on it and hear a bit of it.  It's too cool.
