Alright my Dad keeps me straight...... he emailed me after my night driving pictures and said "what is it" I just assumed that everyone could tell what this was, the red and white lights are the headlights and taillights of cars passing me on the highway....... ![]()

Night Driving
Ok, I was talking to a some friends at work about this, so I decided to go ahead a blog it. About a month ago, on my way home from a wedding, I pulled out my camera and took pictures while driving down the highway. Ok, I know this sounds dangerous; and to my police officer friend.... please forgive me (I was careful) I took several pictures. The first one is how it turned out, then I photoshopped it (the second one) and I think the second looks pretty cool too. Let me know what you think. Again, I promise I was careful.....

Susie and Phillip
Meet Susie and Phillip. Their wedding was a couple weeks ago in Iowa Park and the reception was at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU. Susie and Phillip are very ambitious people, she is currently in Dental School and he is doing his residency at Parkland Hospital for the next 5 years. WOW! They are both very sweet people; here are just a few pictures from their big day.

Fathers Day
This is my father. You already know a little bit about him from Mothers Day blog. He served in the US Army as a Military Police Officer which lead him to become a Criminal Investigator. His career in the military was extraordinary, but that is not how I know my Dad. My Dad was a firm parent but a loving father. I can remember when I was little; waking up to see him and my Mom in my room, watching me while I slept. I remember lots of I love you's and affection. I also remember if Dad said it, then it was so. He was the smartest person I knew when I was younger, then there was a time when I thought he didn't know anything, now I am back to thinking he is the smartest person I know... funny how that works. I can tell you the main thing I have learned from my Dad is how to love. He loves my mother with all that he is. He is unapologetic when it comes to the fact that she comes first, and it has always been that way. I love that about him. He loved me enough when I was a child to get upset when I did stupid things, he loves me enough as an adult to still steer me in the right direction when stupid things can still happen. Dad, thanks for being a great father and husband, your the best and I am blessed to have such great parents. Happy Fathers Day..... I love you.

Ashleigh's Gift To John
Today is Fathers Day and Ashleigh came over and gave John (Chief to her) his gift. John wanted a stainless steel grill for the pontoon boat. Ashleigh got him the grill and personalized by having a plaque engraved for it. John and I refer to our life together as "The Good Life". Ashleigh made this gift extra special by having that put on there. It was pretty cute, because the first thing he opened from her was a package of Ball Park Franks. Our original plan for the day was to be on the lake today, but weather did not permit this. So.... we compromised and grilled in the kitchen. Ball Park Franks and tortillas. Now I know, that sounds gross, but it was really good. Thanks Ashleigh for being so thoughtful.... We love you.

Rain in North Texas
For those of you from this area you know very well that this is an unusually wet spring. I love the rain. Yesterday while driving to my "other job" I took this first picture. I thought the rain coming down around the picket looked beautiful and ominous at the same time. The second and third pictures just goes to show you that there is not always a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. The rainbow looks like it ends in the building that is the first building you must go through to get into a maximum security prison.

Lauren
After getting off work from that "other job" I caught up with DeEdra who was taking bridal portraits of Lauren. I played with my new camera today and took some pictures as well. Lauren is such a pretty girl, and like all brides seem to do; got really playful when DeEdra said she was done. Why do you brides find that little sentence "your done" so much fun?? I don't want to show too much of her, but you have to admit, she is beautiful.

Chris & Tara
orking on another album for DeEdra. I really do like doing them, even though I think DeEdra thinks I don't. I like making the pages and remembering the moment when the pictures were taken. This is Chris and Tara, they are so cute and fun. I looked at a wedding DeEdra did the other day, and I was not even there, but one of the pictures; when I saw it actually made me cry. I wasn't there, and never met the bride or groom, but the picture moved me. Check it out on DeEdra's blog, www.xanga.com/fotobydeedra go to Mr. and Mrs. Parkey, the one where she is dancing with her father. If it makes you cry too, I am sorry
Back to Chris and Tara... they were so cute and had such a great time at their wedding,,,, that is what makes this job so fun....... -
First Lake Day of the Summer
This was our first weekend at the lake this year. My sweety and I really enjoy going out on our boat, sometimes fishing, sometimes just relaxing with some cheese and wine, and sometimes the kids come and we play on the jet ski. Saturday it was just John and I on the jet ski and my start to a nice burn. Sunday we went out on the boat and took the jet ski as well. Ashleigh and her friend Keith came out and we all had a great time. My burn is a pretty shade of red right now. Ok, so if I am steady using sunscreen with spf of 30, and I am still burned, I guess I will be trying the 45 next. About an hour before we came in I just put on a long sleeve shirt. I won't be able to do that for very long. The days are heating up quick. I was so glad that we did not get rained out because this was our only full weekend for a while. June weddings will be starting in full force next weekend. Something New Photography has a very busy summer, yeah DeEdra; www.xanga.com/fotobydeedra www.photographybydeedra.com
