O-M-G I'm 43
So I turned 43 this week. I had a moment of holy crap... but it was just a moment. I am in a good place right now; my family is amazing, great friends and life is good. Speaking of friends, I had lunch with "the girls" (DeEdra, Micki and Devon). I really think we should do this more often and not wait for a birthday... we should just do it because it's Tuesday!!! So off to one one of my favorite places in WF,
and you have to try the Italian margarita's... they are to die for....

Me and Devon hamming it up
speaking of Devon, she made this totally amazing desert, and like a good county gal, brought milk to enjoy it with. This stuff was sooooo good!!
Here's the recipe...
Devon's Chocolate Caramel Oatmeal Chews2 cups quick or old-fashioned oats1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, divided3/4 cup brown sugar1 teaspoon baking soda1 cup butter or margarine, melted1 cup caramel ice cream topping (in a jar, not the squirt kind)1/2 cup chopped pecans1 package (6 oz is what it calls for, but I used more) semi-sweet chocolate morsels1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray 9x13 baker with nonstick cooking spray. Combine OATS, 1 1/2 CUPS FLOUR, BROWN SUGAR, and BAKING SODA in a bowl. Add BUTTER; mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup crumb mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of baker. Bake 15 minutes.2. Combine CARAMEL and remaining 1/4 CUP FLOUR in bowl; stir until smooth. Drizzle over bottom crust; carefully spread to edges.3. Combine PECANS and reserved crumb mixture in small bowl. Sprinkle crumb mixture and chocolate morsels evenly over caramel mixture. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Remove from oven and cool completely. Cut into bars.Yield: 24 bars (or in Devon Land, 9)It was a good day spent with great girls.... Thanks a bunch y'all.... MUAH
