The kitchen remodel
Most people know that we (I use the term "we" loosely) have been remodeling our kitchen (again I use the word "our" loosely also, it really is John's kitchen, not mine). We started this mess in February not knowing at the time that I would be getting a promotion and living out of town during through the week and spending a lot of weekends still doing weddings and spending time with Gage. So my poor sweety has really done all of this by himself. Our house was built in 1929, and I had visions of remodeling when I bought it, but had no idea what that would entail. Nothing is square, or level and you spend a lot of time fixing things you don't see (new wiring, sub floor, etc) before you can work on things that you can actually see and appreciate. Our next home will either be a new construction or a yacht. No fixer uppers in our future. We are not done, we still have molding to hang, trim to finish, and cabinet doors. So.... here are some before and after pictures, remember the cabinet doors are gone, it will not stay that way and the before pictures we took after we started emptying cabinets, so it's messy. My sweety has worked very hard all by himself and it is really coming together, just wanted to share all of his hard work.
Too late to fix the grammar error below, just ignore the is which should be are....
When the cabinets are hung I will post again.....
